Scott took a break from his hunting and fishing outfitting to accompany his brother, Jeff, on a once-in-a-lifetime hunt for a bighorn sheep. They found one in the Missouri Breaks where Jeff had drawn his special license. Here's how Scott described the hunt in an e-mail to friends:

Well, this is what Jeff and I did this week. We drove up on Tuesday and started hunting Wednesday. We spotted this one and two others a couple miles off first thing Wednesday morning, but decided to look around a little. Since it was our first Ram hunt, we thought we had better see what else we could find. We looked over eight different Rams throughout the day and decided to go back and take a closer look at this one. Once we got within about 1,000 yards, there was no question, he was plenty good enough. We closed the gap to 238 yards, and Jeff shot him in his bed.

It was a great hunt, even if we only hunted one day. We spent more time packing out the meat and cape than we did hunting for him. A LOT of work, but well worth it. Jeff owes me big time ........... not really, I wouldn't have missed it for the world, it was a great experience. (Myron , we sure could have used your winch, and about two miles of cable.) We took it to Fish, Wildlife and Parks this morning, checked it in and got it plugged. Got a rough score on it of + or - 180 inches B&C. Jeff is very excited, he is thinking about having a half body mount done of it. How lucky was Jeff to draw the tag? The odds of drawing this tag are less than 1 in 100................ if you put in for it every year..........under the odds, you can expect to draw once only if you live to be 278 years old.
